Welcome to the 2027 Public Health Nursing Summit Call for Abstracts
The Association of Public Health Nurses (APHN) invites public health nurses, educators, leaders, students, researchers, and partners to submit an abstract for the 2027 Public Health Nursing Summit, taking place April 19–21, 2027.
Guided by the theme “Preparing for What’s Next: Engaging the Power of Public Health Nurses,” the 2027 Summit will bring together the public health nursing community to explore emerging challenges, innovative solutions, and opportunities to strengthen public health nursing practice and population health. Programming will highlight workforce development, leadership and systems change, innovation and evidence-based practice, health access and community power, and preparedness for emerging health challenges.

Closes: November 8, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time
We encourage you to share your knowledge, experiences, research, innovative practices, and solutions with colleagues from across the public health nursing community. Strong submissions should provide clear, practical value to attendees and support peer-to-peer learning through evidence-informed practice, innovation, leadership, collaboration, and community engagement.

2027 Public Health Nursing Summit – Speaker Readiness Checklist
The Speaker Readiness Checklist is designed to help prospective and accepted presenters understand what to expect if selected, including accepting their invitation, completing speaker information and CNE requirements, preparing presentation materials, meeting deadlines, and preparing for their onsite presentation.
Before You Submit
Please carefully review all abstract requirements and confirm that you are prepared to attend and present if your submission is accepted. All presenters are required to register for the Summit and pay applicable registration fees and related expenses.The 2027 Summit offers three presentation opportunities: Learning Sessions, PHNnovation Spotlight Roundtables, and Poster Presentations. Select the format that best supports your content and the experience you want to create for attendees.
