Welcome to the 2027 Preparedness Summit Call for Abstracts
The 2027 Preparedness Summit invites public health professionals and preparedness partners to share their expertise, innovative approaches, lessons learned, and promising practices with colleagues from across the country. The 2027 Preparedness Summit will take place April 19–21, 2027, in Atlanta, Georgia. This year’s theme, “Preparing for What’s Next: Building Bridges for a More Connected Future,” focuses on strengthening connections across public health, healthcare, emergency management, EMS, laboratories, academia, community organizations, private industry, critical infrastructure, and other partners to create a more unified and resilient preparedness ecosystem.
Call for Abstracts Deadline
Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time
All abstracts must be submitted through the online abstract system by the deadline. Incomplete, late, or improperly formatted submissions will not be considered.

What We’re Looking For
Strong submissions should clearly describe the issue, approach, partners, outcomes, and lessons learned. Abstracts should offer actionable insights, transferable models, promising practices, tools, evaluation findings, or real-world examples that can help advance preparedness practice. Before submitting, please confirm that you and an alternate presenter are committed to attending and presenting if selected. All presenters are required to register for the conference and pay applicable registration and travel-related expenses. Abstracts may be revised until the submission deadline but cannot be modified after October 27, 2026.
