About NJ Thespians

New Jersey Thespians is the state chapter of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA), which sponsors the International Thespian Society (ITS). Our mission is to promote, strengthen, and advocate for theatre arts education in schools throughout New Jersey.

Mission

New Jersey Thespians is committed to fostering a welcoming community of skilled theatre artists. We provide opportunities for students and educators to develop their skills, learn from professional artists and peers, collaborate with one another, and celebrate the art of theatre in all its forms.

Vision

New Jersey Thespians is dedicated to providing high-quality theatre programming and educational opportunities for students and educators throughout the state. We envision a future where every theatre student has the opportunity to grow as an artist, collaborate with others, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts.
