Member & Convention Demographics

NSA members are professional accountants and tax preparers who serve the business needs of Main Street America. Most (84%!) are small business owners with a wealth of knowledge to share with their clients, honed over years of practice.

An exciting trend is that the fastest growing new-member segment in 2023 is those who are new-to-practice: Some of them are seasoned professionals launching second careers, while others are recently out of school and eager to learn the realities of the business world while they apply their skills to smooth out the tax tangles faced by clients. They all rely on NSA and its sponsors and supporters when they seek products and services that will help them spend less time working and more time making money!

NSA’s membership stretches across all 50 states plus D.C., Guam, and Puerto Rico. All of them are eager to build successful, sustainable practices and serve their clients well for years to come. And these members come to Conference seeking to connect with vendors and service providers who support NSA’s mission and values.
