Start Times

  • Heats of eight boats each start at two minute intervals beginning at 8:00 a.m.
     
  • There are no make-up heats.
     
  • Boats late to start will be timed as though they started at their designated heat time OR late starters can choose to change their start time at the start table the morning of the event at the put-in. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF LATE ARRIVALS TO SEE THAT THEIR START TIMES ARE CHANGED.
     
  • Boats that start early WILL BE disqualified.
     
  • Minithon boats will be launched by starters when ready between 10:30 - 12:00. Minithon is not timed.
     
  • Weather and other unforeseen factors may occasionally delay start times, but paddlers should be on hand for their planned start.  Follow starter's directions.
