ASO and SOI Manuscripts

ACCEPTED ABSTRACTS & SOCIETY OF SURGICAL ONCOLOGY JOURNALS

SSO leadership strongly encourages research presented at SSO’s annual meeting to be published in the Annals of Surgical Oncology (ASO), the official journal of the SSO, and Surgical Oncology Insight (SOI), the official open access journal of the SSO.

Best Papers: Authors of the top 20 abstracts will be invited to submit their manuscripts for consideration for publication in the ASO by the end of December. Identified abstract-manuscript submissions will be targeted for simultaneous publication at the time of abstract presentation. The peer review process can take up to 8 weeks. This invitation will be sent via email from ASO, please look out for this invite with instructions and deadlines.
Podium Abstracts: Authors of accepted oral abstracts are strongly encouraged to submit their manuscripts to ASO within three months of the meeting’s conclusion.
Named Featured Lectureships: Those who are invited to deliver the named lectureships of the SSO Annual Meeting are encouraged to submit a manuscript to ASO as a condition of the lectureship.
ePoster Abstracts: Authors of all poster abstracts accepted are strongly encouraged to submit their manuscripts to the Surgical Oncology Insight journal within three months of the meeting’s conclusion.
Global Partner Poster Program: Authors of all Global Partner Program Poster abstracts accepted are strongly encouraged to submit their manuscripts to the Surgical Oncology Insight journal within three months of the meeting’s conclusion. Surgical Oncology Insight (SOI) Manuscript Submission

During submission to SOI please identify your manuscript by answering ‘yes' to “Was manuscript presented at SSO Annual Meeting?" when submitting to the journal at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/soi. Also, please note this information in your submittal letter.

Step 1: Type, Title, & Abstract. Your paper will be treated as an Original Research article.
