Welcome to the 2027 WCJRF Call for Abstracts!

A message from the Diversity Research Committee Co-Chairs

On behalf of the SNMA Diversity Research Committee, we are pleased to welcome you to the Dr. Wilbert C. Jordan Research Forum. The WCJRF provides student researchers an opportunity to share their scholarship, receive meaningful feedback, and contribute to a community committed to advancing research, innovation, and health equity. We encourage each applicant to approach this opportunity with curiosity, rigor, and purpose, and we look forward to learning about the work you are advancing and the impact you hope to make through research.

AMEC 2027 Research Forum Blocks

  • Block 1 - Thursday March 25, 2027 at 3:30PM PT

  • Block 2 - Friday, March 26, 2027 at 9:00AM PT

  • Block 3 - Friday, March 26, 2027 at 2:00PM PT

  • Block 4 - Saturday, March 27, 2027 at 9:00AM PT

By submitting an abstract for review, you acknowledge that your presentation may be assigned to any of the above blocks.

 

Timeline and Expectations

  • The submitting/presenting author must be a National dues-paying SNMA member in good standing from the time of submission through the end of AMEC 2027.

  • Accepted abstracts must not have been presented or previously published unless findings have significantly changed

  • The deadline to submit an abstract is December 13, 2026

  • Abstracts will be scored on a rolling basis

  • Final decision notices will be distributed January 2027

  • All accepted presenters will have seven calendar days to provide proof of registration or will forego their acceptance

  • Waitlisted applicants will receive communication as slots become available


Ready to Submit?

Please review these criteria prior to your submission.

  • Must be 2,500 characters or less without spaces, not including title or author block

  • There shall be only one presenter per abstract - no partners or groups will be accepted 

  • Sections to Include: Title, Author(s), Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion 

  • Case Reports are not eligible for submission

  • Work should not have been presented or published previously unless significant changes or findings have been made since the previous presentation
