2025 Tentative Accepted Events

This list of accepted events for the 2025 AWP Conference & Bookfair is tentative as we wait to receive confirmation from all event organizers and participants. We are also working to ensure that each participant does not participate in more than two events. Event titles and descriptions have not yet been edited for grammar or content. The final conference schedule will be posted later this year.

The AWP Conference & Bookfair reflects the broader literary community, with all of its creativity, passion, and diversity evident on the programming schedule. AWP’s mission is to create space for all writers to be represented, and to that end, we are committed to supporting as diverse and inclusive a slate of panels as possible. Each year, AWP assembles an independent subcommittee to adjudicate proposals, and we use aggregate evaluations to identify the strongest proposals for acceptance onto the conference schedule. We acknowledge that perspectives put forth by individual programs and speakers may not be shared by everyone, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the AWP Board, staff, literary partners, sponsors, or each conference attendee. Please use the Search / Filter tool to search the accepted events list by keyword, speaker, event category, event type, or event style. Please note that any events marked as “virtual” will be prerecorded and available to watch on-demand online during the conference in March 2025. Unless otherwise marked, all other events will take place in-person in Los Angeles, California in March 2025, and will not be available to watch online.
