Alaska Airlines

Transportation

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

LAX offers an abundance of information for arriving travelers, including those with mobility, accessibility, and other needs. LAX is approximately sixteen miles or a thirty-five-minute drive from the Los Angeles Convention Center and is accessible via bus, shuttle service, or car service. Metro Bus

The LA Metro Bus system includes over 165 bus routes, including local buses that stop frequently, rapid buses with fewer stops at major intersections, and express buses that travel on freeways for longer distances. Fare can be paid using cash or a TAP card. Regular fare is $1.75 for two hours of unlimited transfers. Check out the Metro Bus schedule to plan your ride.
 

Metro Rail

The Metro Rail has six different lines and one hundred stations with connections to Metro buses. Regular fare is $1.75 for two hours of unlimited transfers and requires a TAP card. Pico is the closest metro station to the convention center. Check out the Metro Rail schedule to plan your ride.
 

Metro Micro

The Micro is an on-demand rideshare service, offering short local trips around Los Angeles County. Book a Metro Micro ride online or download the Metro Micro app for quick pickup.
 

Metro Bike Share

The Metro Bike Share system makes electric and basic bikes available year-round at over two hundred bike-share stations around Los Angeles County. Basic ride fare is $1.75 for every thirty minutes, with electric rides starting at $2.75. Riders can pay online or at a station with a credit card or a TAP card. Metro Vanpool

The Metro Vanpool Program is a service designed to ease daily commutes. Riders can join an existing vanpool or apply for a subsidy to start their own. Metro Parking Lots

Riders utilizing LA’s Metro transportation systems can park at any of the designated Metro Parking facilities throughout Los Angeles County. Find the best lot for your trip or reserve a parking spot on the Metro Parking webpage.
 

ADA Paratransit Services

Access - Access is a curb-to-curb complimentary ADA paratransit rideshare service in Los Angeles County for eligible riders. The service is available to any location within 0.75 miles of Metro Rail stations and Metro Bus routes. This service is more ideal for local residents, as eligibility requires an in-person evaluation. Check out the Access paratransit application guide for more information.

Other Transportation Resources

Freeway Service Patrol - The Metro Freeway Service Patrol is a congestion-mitigation program on all major freeways in Los Angeles County. The free program utilizes a fleet of tow and service trucks to reduce traffic by efficiently getting disabled vehicles running or towed to a safe location. The service includes towing, changing flat tires, jump-starting, refilling radiators, and providing up to a gallon of fuel. Call 511 and request “motorist aid” or check out the Freeway Service Patrol webpage to learn more.
