Bookfair FAQ


The 2025 AWP Bookfair is March 26–29, 2025.


#AWP25 will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.


Move-in is from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. PT on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, and from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, through Saturday, March 29, 2025. Move-out is from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025.


Bookfair Booth Package
$975 (early-bird rate available until November 25, 2024 / $1,100 beginning November 26, 2024) includes the following:

  • 10′ x 10′ space (100 sq. ft. with 8′ high back drape)
  • two 6′ x 2′ draped tables, two chairs, one wastebasket
  • one printed bookfair ID sign
  • two exhibitor all-access badges covering full conference registration
  • listing in the conference program and on website

 

Bookfair Table Package
$675 (early-bird rate available until November 25, 2024 / $800 beginning November 26, 2024) includes the following:

  • 4′ x 7′ space (28 sq. ft. with 3′ high back drape)
  • one 6′ x 2′ draped table, two chairs, one wastebasket
  • one printed bookfair ID sign
  • two exhibitor all-access badges covering full conference registration
  • listing in the conference program and on website


The bookfair is open to registered conference attendees from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PT from Thursday, March 27, 2025, through Saturday, March 29, 2025.


Yes, children are allowed in the bookfair during show hours. They are not permitted in the bookfair during move-in and move-out hours for safety reasons. Please note that children under the age of sixteen years old must be attended by a parent or guardian at all times.


Each exhibit space comes with two (2) complimentary conference registrations. These are referred to as bookfair setup access registrations (BSAs). The BSA functions as a regular conference registration in addition to granting the holder access to the exhibit hall during move-in and move-out hours. To ensure the safety and security of all exhibitors, additional BSAs are not available for purchase. BSAs must be assigned to be used prior to the deadline.


The bookfair setup access (BSA) registration holders have access to the bookfair during move-in hours. If you do not have a BSA registration, but have a registration assigned to you, you may be escorted by a BSA holder to set up the exhibit space during move-in.


Location selection takes place in a rolling launch. Exhibit space locations are self-selected using a tiered system based on cumulative years of exhibiting with AWP. Exhibitors who have purchased their space will be sent an email and code allowing them to choose their space within their assigned selection window. After the rolling launch, the selection code will no longer be necessary and new exhibitors may purchase and select location at any time. The rolling launch dates will be released once available.


All exhibitors are required to abide by applicable state and federal laws governing sales tax. Please visit the Tax Information page in the Bookfair section of the AWP website for more information. Submission of sales tax information is the responsibility of the exhibitor.


Because the online system allows you to select your own exhibit space, you will need to coordinate in advance with the other exhibitors you wish to be nearby. AWP cannot coordinate placement for you due to the self-select feature. Any changes to your placement after the time of purchase are subject to availability.


Yes, if they do not interfere with another exhibitor or encroach on aisles or public space. Exhibitors may not erect any decorations or use adhesive materials, including tape, on any walls, ceilings, floors, and facilities in the convention center, including in restrooms, hallways, and meeting rooms. Please do not affix posters or other materials to any of the walls, doors, and other surfaces in the convention center. Flyers may not be placed on tables or other common spaces outside of your exhibit space. Violation of the Los Angeles Convention Center rules covering exhibition space may result in removal from the exhibit hall and disposal of flyers.
